Magenta Technology Sponsors the Samara Aerospace University in the International Programming Olympiad and the Samara Aerospace Lyceum in the Regional Programming Academic Competition.

At the end of October 2007 two important events took place for the Faculty of Information Technologies of Samara Aerospace University and the Programming Class of Samara Aerospace Lyceum, both under the sponsorship of Magenta Technology.

Two teams of three students of the Samara Aerospace University participated in the quarter-final of the International Programming Olympiad between higher educational institutions. The quarter-final was held in Saratov, with 68 teams from 22 regions of Russia taking part in the Olympiad. At the end of a gruelling five hours of the competition one of the two teams of the Samara Aerospace University took 10th place which means they are through to the semi-final of the Olympiad! The semi-final will take place in St. Petersburg at the end of November.

At the same time another team of three schoolchildren of Samara Aerospace Lyceum took 8th place in the Sixth Regional Programming Academic Competition and will also go to St. Petersburg to participate in the final of the Russian Team Programming Academic Competition.
